We are looking for a reliable and hands-on Maintenance Technician to join our hotel team. This is a great opportunity for someone who has basic maintenance experience, enjoys working with their hands, and is interested in developing their skills in a hotel environment.
While previous maintenance experience is an asset, we are open to candidates with entry-level experience who demonstrate a strong work ethic, basic mechanical knowledge, and a willingness to learn.
Responsibilities:
- Maintains rooms in operating condition by performing repairs as needed.
- Repairs all appliances and damaged bathroom fixtures; executes general plumbing as needed.
- Maintains overall appearance of rooms; replaces broken mirrors, hangs fixtures, painting, etc.
- Repairs and maintains room's heating/ventilating/air conditioning systems
- Performs preventative maintenance throughout the hotel.
- Repairs furniture, carpet, marble, tile windows, mirrors and decorations as necessary.
- All other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Previous maintenance, repair, construction, or handyman experience is an asset, but extensive experience is not required.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and general repairs is preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work at heights of approximately 10 feet when required.
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in different weather conditions.
- Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to manage multiple maintenance requests.
