CMHA Algoma offers a wide range of mental health and addiction services designed to support individuals, families, and communities across the Algoma District. Here’s a brief overview of their key programs and services: Core Services

Central Access and Information A welcoming point for information and referrals to appropriate mental health and addiction services across the district. Available by phone or walk-in.

Counselling Services Client-centered counselling for adults (16+) on an individual, couple, family, or group basis. Addresses mental health, addictions, relationships, and daily living concerns.

Walk-In Counselling Single-session brief counselling for children, youth, adults, couples, and families. Available in-person in Sault Ste. Marie and virtually in Blind River, Elliot Lake, and Wawa.

Case Management Ongoing support to help individuals navigate mental health and addiction systems and achieve recovery goals.

Court Support and Diversion Assists individuals with mental illness, addictions, or intellectual disabilities who are in conflict with the law. Includes screening for diversion eligibility and developing plans.

Dual Diagnosis Program Specialized support for adults with both developmental disabilities and serious mental illness, including psychiatric consultation and treatment.

Hope House – Club 84 A psychosocial rehabilitation program using the clubhouse model, offering work-ordered days and social/recreational activities for individuals with serious mental illness.

Housing Supports Services to help individuals secure and maintain safe, stable housing, including homelessness prevention initiatives.

Peer Support & Family Support Programs Programs for individuals with lived experience and families seeking education and emotional support.
