POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Director, Corporate Services, the Information Management Analyst supports CANES Community Care’s information management, business systems administration, data governance, reporting, and operational analytics functions. The role ensures the accuracy, integrity, and effective use of workforce, client-service, operational, and financial data while supporting organizational decision-making, business process improvement, and technology initiatives.
Working collaboratively with operational leaders, Finance, Payroll, Scheduling, and external vendors, the Information Management Analyst serves as a key resource for data quality, reporting, system optimization, user support, and the successful adoption of business technologies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Information Management, Reporting & Analytics
- Maintain the accuracy, integrity, and quality of workforce, client, operational, payroll, billing, and financial data across organizational systems.
- Perform data validation, reconciliations, audits, and quality assurance reviews to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Develop, maintain, and distribute recurring and ad hoc reports, dashboards, performance metrics, and analytical summaries.
- Support Power BI reporting and performance monitoring by analyzing trends, identifying opportunities for improvement, and providing actionable insights.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define reporting requirements, performance indicators, and operational measures.
- Maintain documentation related to reporting, workflows, data standards, and business processes.
Business Systems Analysis, Integration & Support
- Support the administration, maintenance, integration and optimization of AlayaCare and other business applications.
- Investigate and resolve system, workflow, data, and integration issues in collaboration with users, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
- Monitor system functionality, interfaces, integrations and data exchanges to ensure effective and reliable operations.
- Develop and maintain user documentation, standard operating procedures, and training materials.
- Provide training, guidance, and ongoing support to employees on business systems, workflows, and information management practices.
- Support client and caregiver portal administration, onboarding, access management, and issue resolution.
Data Governance, Compliance & Continuous Improvement
- Promote data governance and information management best practices through consistent standards, quality controls, and documentation.
- Support compliance with privacy legislation, organizational policies, contractual requirements, and reporting obligations.
- Participate in system implementations, upgrades, testing, integration activities, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Assist with project planning, change management, training, go-live support, and post-implementation activities.
- Identify and recommend opportunities to improve workflows, reporting capabilities, system performance, automation, and operational effectiveness.
Other
- Contribute to a culture of client safety and employee Health and Safety, by complying with all safety practices of the organization, reporting unsafe practices and adverse events, and acting on safety recommendations
- Ensures compliance with all organizational policies, including but not limited to workplace conduct, health and safety, privacy, and workplace violence and harassment policies
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Information Management, Business Analysis, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Health Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience
- Experience supporting information management, business systems administration, reporting, analytics, or data quality functions.
- Experience working with workforce management, scheduling, payroll, billing, client-service, or enterprise business systems.
- Experience developing reports, dashboards, and performance metrics.
- Experience supporting system implementations, upgrades, integrations, or process improvement initiatives is an asset.
- Experience within healthcare, home care, community support services, or a related sector is an asset.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Experience with AlayaCare is required
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and quality.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with Power BI or other business intelligence and reporting tools.
- Knowledge of information management, data governance, privacy, and quality assurance principles.
- Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of privacy, confidentiality, and regulatory compliance requirements.
