Job Title: Operations Administrator
Location: Pickering, ON
Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 9AM – 5 PM
Compensation Range: $43,000 - $47,000
About the role:
The Operations Administrator is a detail-oriented, highly-organized individual who supports our cannabis manufacturing facility. Reporting to the Planning Operations Manager, the primary responsibility of this role is to manage and track work orders and labels from creation to completion, ensuring seamless communication between departments, accurate documentation, and timely execution of production activities.
Responsibilities:
- Generate, issue, and track work orders related to production and extraction.
- Ensure all work orders are accurate, complete, and processed in a timely manner.
- Issue component numbers and assist with non-cannabis inventory assignment
- Track the status of active work orders and follow up with relevant teams to ensure deadlines are met.
- Escalate delays or issues that may impact production timelines.
- Maintain up-to-date and organized records for all work orders in accordance with SOPs and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure traceability of materials, batches, and activities for audit readiness.
- Communicate work order updates, changes, or requirements clearly and promptly.
- Confirm material availability prior to releasing work orders.
- Ensure all work order processes follow internal SOPs, GPP guidelines, and Health Canada regulations.
- Participate in internal audits and support compliance initiatives as needed.
- Working with the inventory system to maintain accurate records
- Other duties as required by management
Job Requirements:
- 1+ year of administrative experience in a manufacturing, logistics, or cannabis-related environment.
- Strong mathematical and numerical skills, with the ability to accurately perform calculations, measurements, and basic data analysis.
- Familiarity with cannabis regulations and compliance (GPP, Health Canada) is preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and SmartSheets.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
Must be willing to undergo a background check in accordance with local laws and regulations. Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
