Your new role
As Property Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of a commercial real estate portfolio. Working closely with experienced property management, accounting, and administration teams, you will oversee tenant relationships, property operations, financial performance, and capital projects while ensuring a high standard of service delivery across your portfolio.
Key responsibilities:
- Managing a portfolio of commercial properties, including office, retail, and industrial assets.
- Building strong tenant relationships and responding to operational needs and concerns.
- Partnering with property administrators on rent collection, arrears management, maintenance coordination, and tenant communications.
- Reviewing monthly financial reporting, variance analysis, and arrears reporting prior to submission to senior leadership.
- Preparing annual operating and capital budgets and monitoring portfolio performance against budget.
- Conducting regular site visits, inspections, and meetings with tenants, vendors, and contractors.
- Coordinating tenant improvement projects, capital repairs, and equipment replacements.
- Participating in weekly portfolio review meetings focused on financial performance, projects, and operational priorities.
- Participating in a rotating after-hours emergency on-call schedule.
What you’ll need to succeed
The successful candidate will be a proactive and detail-oriented commercial property management professional with strong organizational and communication skills.
Qualifications include:
- Minimum 3 years of commercial property management experience.
- Current Rental Property Management License (BC) or close to obtaining this.
- Strong financial acumen with experience reviewing budgets, variance reports, and operating results.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Professional, reliable, and highly accountable.
- Post-secondary diploma or degree preferred.
- Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for property visits.
