Canuel Caterers is hiring a CORPORATE CHEF!
Mostly Monday to Friday | Daytime Hours | Multi-Site Operations
Are you a passionate, hands-on chef who loves creating great food, developing menus, and supporting a team? We’re looking for a Corporate Chef to oversee culinary operations across our six corporate cafeteria accounts, support catering services, and develop exciting menu offerings for our school accounts.
This is a hands-on role for someone who combines strong culinary skills with operational leadership. From developing fresh, creative menus and managing food costs to working alongside our café teams and stepping in to support daily operations when needed, you’ll play an important role in maintaining the quality and consistency of our food service operations.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Multi-Site Culinary Operations: Oversee day-to-day food service operations across six corporate cafeteria accounts, ensuring consistent quality, freshness, presentation, and company standards.
- Menu Development: Create innovative, practical menus and develop new food offerings for our corporate cafeterias, catering services, and school accounts.
- Food & Labour Cost Control: Develop standardized recipes, manage food costing and portion control, monitor inventory and waste, and support effective labour management.
- Team Support & Leadership: Work closely with café teams to coach, train, and support staff while maintaining high culinary standards across all locations.
- Catering Support: Assist with menu planning, preparation, coordination, and execution of catering events.
- Hands-On Operational Support: Lead by example and step in to cover kitchen and front-of-house shifts when needed. We’re looking for someone comfortable jumping in wherever support is required, from food preparation and service to customer-facing responsibilities.
The Ideal Candidate
You’re a chef first and a leader by example. You enjoy creating great food, developing new ideas, mentoring teams, and making sure every location delivers a consistent, high-quality experience. You’re just as comfortable developing a new menu as you are stepping behind the counter or into the kitchen to support a busy service.
If this sounds like you, or someone in your network, we’d love to connect! Send your resume over to: jobs@canuelcaterers.ca
