Summary
The Inventory Control Coordinator is responsible for managing and resolving inventory-related issues, ensuring accurate inventory records, and supporting the overall inventory management process. This role involves leading the TWL Program, daily cycle counts, ad-hoc inventory counts, and resolving exception reports to optimize stock levels and support efficient Distribution Center operations.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Issue Resolution
- Lead daily or weekly cycle counts and submit required inventory adjustments to ensure accurate local inventory.
- Review and reconcile Carrier and non-Carrier statement aging issues.
- Resolve variance issues related to WT exceptions and delivery discrepancies.
Report Maintenance
- Maintain Warehouse Transfer exception and unavailable inventory reports.
Inventory Management
- Report on all variances and provide solutions to improve inventory accuracy.
- Submit stock adjustments as necessary.
- Support the Operations Manager in resolving inventory-related issues and improving processes.
TWL Management
- Own and manage day-to-day operations of the Total Warehouse Logistics (TWL) system, ensuring inventory accuracy, transition integrity, and consistent warehouse processes.
- Monitor system exceptions, cycle counts, inventory adjustments, and variances.
- Investigate root causes and drive corrective actions to prevent repeat issues.
- Serve as the site subject matter expert for TWL, including supporting user training, process compliance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
- Safety and Compliance.
- Follow all health, safety, and environmental regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
Critical Inventory and Availability
- Maintain and review a daily critical-item and stockout-risk list for Brampton.
- Monitor available inventory, allocations, backorders, open purchase orders, in-transit quantities, supplier lead times, demand trends, seasonality, and approved stocking levels.
- Partner with Inventory Planning and Purchasing to proactively identify and escalate inventory availability risks to minimize preventable stockouts and maintain appropriate replenishment coverage.
- Track critical-item actions and supplier-confirmed delivery dates.
Slow-Moving, Excess and Dead Inventory
- Identify and report slow-moving, excess, obsolete, dead, and cancelled special-order inventory.
- Work with Supplier Relations and Inventory Planning to pursue stock rotations, return authorizations, supplier pickups, credits, transfers, resale, or other approved disposition.
- Review recurring excess inventory and recommend adjustments to stocking or replenishment settings.
Inventory Control and Accuracy
- Annual physical inventory preparation and reconciliation.
- Investigate negative inventory, location discrepancies, unit-of-measure or package-quantity errors, unprocessed receipts, transfer exceptions, and inaccurate allocations.
- Monitor damaged, unavailable, and RER inventory to ensure the physical product, TWL status, and disposition records remain aligned.

- Strong communication skills and comfort working cross-functionally with Operations and Distribution teams.
- Working knowledge of inventory systems / warehouse management processes (TWL or similar systems preferred).
