The
CFP Léonard-De Vinci is looking for a passionate teacher in cabinetmaking to train the next generation.
Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver the theoretical and practical teaching activities outlined in the program;
- Teach skills related to: woods and related materials, assembly methods and components, furniture design and workshop drawing, safe use of hand tools and machine tools, manufacturing planning, and project management;
- Evaluate learning and ensure the monitoring of students' progress;
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards in the workshops;
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and conducive learning environment for success;
- Participate in pedagogical meetings, consultation activities, and center projects;
- Ensure basic maintenance of equipment and contribute to the management of teaching materials.
Requirements
Desired requirements and skills
- Have solid experience in cabinetmaking, furniture manufacturing, or architectural cabinetry;
- Have excellent mastery of wood transformation techniques and related materials;
- Have knowledge of modern equipment, machine tools, and manufacturing processes;
- Have a strong interest in knowledge transfer and supporting students;
- Have the ability to work in a team and develop partnerships with businesses;
- Have a sense of organization, autonomy, and professional rigor;
- Have a constant concern for work quality and safety.
