Centre for Diverse Learners

The Centre for Diverse Learners (CDL) is a registered charity dedicated to supporting neurodiverse children and youth through evidence-informed academic and social programs, while providing meaningful support to their families.

Based in Burlington, Ontario, CDL serves families across Halton, Hamilton, and surrounding communities. We work with learners with a wide range of learning differences, including ADHD, learning disabilities, executive functioning challenges, and social-emotional needs. Our goal is to help each learner better understand how they learn, build confidence, and develop the skills they need to thrive at school and beyond.

At the core of our work are small-group academic and social programs that are strengths-based, inclusive, and responsive to individual needs. We focus not only on academic growth, but also on social connection, self-advocacy, and emotional well-being - because learning doesn’t happen in isolation.

We recognize that supporting neurodiverse learners also means supporting the people around them. As a registered charity, CDL offers family workshops, free resource calls, and community learning opportunities to help parents and caregivers navigate school systems, access resources, and feel less alone in their journey. Each year, we also host an annual learning symposium, bringing together families, educators, and professionals to share knowledge, strategies, and lived experience.

CDL partners with families, educators, and community organizations to promote understanding, inclusion, and accessible learning environments. Our approach is individualized, collaborative, and grounded in respect for neurodiversity.
