Dynamics 365 Business Central Techno-Functional Consultant
Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and adaptable Dynamics 365 Business Central Techno-Functional
Consultant to join our team. In this role, you will bridge the gap between complex business processes
and system engineering. You will lead end-to-end ERP implementations, translating client requirements
into scalable functional configurations and authoring clean custom AL extensions when standard
processes fall short.
Key Responsibilities
- Solution Delivery: Lead the discovery, architectural design, setup, configuration, and deployment of core D365 Business Central modules (Finance, Supply Chain, and Operations).
- Technical Customization: Design, develop, test, and debug custom extensions utilizing AL programming language and Visual Studio Code.
- System Integration: Build secure APIs and seamless integrations between Business Central and third-party solutions, Azure web services, or the Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI).
- Data Migration: Oversee complex data migration strategies, including standard configuration packages and ETL processes from legacy NAV/ERP databases.
- Consultative Support: Conduct operational workshops, draft functional/technical design documentation (FDD/TDD), troubleshoot critical technical faults, and deliver end-user training.
Technical Requirements
- Proven ERP Expertise: 3+ continuous years of hands-on experience designing and extending Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (or Dynamics NAV).
- Development Proficiency: Robust proficiency in AL development, C/AL, Visual Studio Code environment, and DevOps/Git source control management.
- Database & Integration: Strong experience with SQL Server, Dataverse, web services (OData, SOAP, REST APIs), and cloud infrastructure platforms.
- Core Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Business Central Functional Consultant Associate (Exam MB-800) is highly advantageous.
Functional & Soft Skills
- Deep conceptual knowledge of core business cycles, including general ledger bookkeeping, procurement pipelines, and supply chain inventory logistics.
- Exceptional verbal and written translation skills, with a proven history of converting dense stakeholder requests into transparent engineering blueprints.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to manage multiple competing project deadlines independently.
