Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Truck Driver role based in Grande Prairie, AB. The Truck Driver is responsible for safely operating company trucks to transport materials and equipment to and from customer sites, following all applicable DOT and provincial regulations. Daily tasks include performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, loading and unloading freight or equipment, securing loads, and maintaining accurate delivery and service records. The role also involves communicating with dispatch and site personnel, adhering to safety procedures at client locations, and reporting any mechanical or safety issues promptly. The Truck Driver is expected to maintain a clean, organized vehicle and represent Cercel Vac Services professionally with customers and team members.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A (or equivalent commercial driver’s license) and a strong track record in Truck Driving.
- Experience with loading, securing, and Unloading materials and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Knowledge of DOT Regulations and applicable transportation safety standards, with consistent compliance in daily operations.
- Ability to operate and care for heavy Truck equipment in varying weather and site conditions.
- Clean driving record and ability to pass required background checks and drug/alcohol screening.
- Strong attention to safety, situational awareness, and adherence to company and client safety protocols.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings, weekends, or overtime as project needs require.
- Good communication skills for coordinating with dispatch, supervisors, and client site personnel.
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks such as climbing into trucks, handling hoses or tools, and standing or walking on uneven surfaces.
- Previous experience in vac services, oilfield, construction, or industrial trucking is an asset.
