About Champs
Founded in Montreal in 1988, Champs is a Canadian luggage and travel goods brand with 38 years of experience designing thoughtfully crafted products - luggage, travel bags, backpacks, leather goods, and accessories - sold through major retailers across Canada and the United States, and direct-to-consumer at champsluggage.com. Every product is backed by our 10-Year Warranty.
The Role
The Product Launch & Merchandising Coordinator owns the process that takes every new Champs product from an approved sample or newly received inventory to fully sales-ready - across hundreds of SKUs, sizes, and colourways.
This isn't just receiving inventory. Each product needs complete and accurate data, professional photography, properly organized digital assets, updated internal systems, current pricing, completed online listings, showroom representation, and clear communication to our sales team. You will own this process end-to-end for every product that enters our catalogue.
If you take pride in organization, accuracy, and completing projects to a high standard - and you're energized by owning a workflow with real moving parts - this is a great role.
Responsibilities
- Product Lifecycle Management: Track every new SKU through our commercialization process, from sample receipt to full sales-readiness. Maintain launch timelines, flag delays, and keep every stakeholder informed.
- Photography & Digital Assets: Coordinate product photography (scheduling, shot lists, sample management), review image deliverables, and maintain our digital asset library. Perform basic image editing in Photoshop; prepare product graphics in Illustrator and Canva.
- Product Data & SKU Management: Collect, verify, and maintain accurate SKU-level information - UPCs, dimensions, materials, colourways, pricing, specifications, descriptions. Ensure consistency across every system we use.
- Internal Systems: Keep QuickBooks, inventory spreadsheets, price lists, catalogues, line sheets, our Online Listings Dashboard, and shared drives current and accurate.
- Catalogues & Sales Materials: Update line sheets, catalogues, and price lists as new products launch. Final proofing before anything goes to the sales team or customers.
- E-Commerce & Marketplace Prep: Prepare complete product information packages for online listings - titles, descriptions, specs, pricing, imagery - across our e-commerce and marketplace channels.
- Sales Team Coordination: Make sure sales reps know what's new, have the most current materials, and get fast turnaround on information requests.
- Showroom Management: Keep our showroom aligned with the active product assortment - samples in place, properly identified, and replaced when needed.
- Final Sales-Ready Review: Before any product is considered launched, confirm every step is complete. Nothing goes out half-done.
