The Child Development Association (CDA) is a student-led organization at York University dedicated to supporting children’s development, education, and well-being while empowering students to make a meaningful difference in their communities.
Our mission is to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world experience by connecting students with opportunities to engage, learn, volunteer, and grow professionally.
Through community partnerships, educational workshops, networking events, and volunteer initiatives, CDA aims to create opportunities for students interested in childhood development, education, psychology, social work, and related fields.
We strive to foster a collaborative and inclusive community where students can develop leadership skills, gain valuable experience, build professional connections, and contribute positively to the lives of children and youth.
