Children’s Treatment Network (CTN) supports over 42,000 kids and youth with disabilities and other developmental needs. We provide intake, service navigation and coordinated service planning, assessment and diagnostic services, specialized clinics and rehabilitation services, including physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech language therapy.

What You Will Do:
CTN is looking for a full-time Director, Autism Program and Service Planning who provides strategic leadership and operational oversight of CTN’s Autism and Service Planning services. This position is one of two Programs and Services Directors and holds accountability for service system development; service delivery and coordination; service monitoring, contract compliance, evaluation, and quality improvement. The Director is accountable for the optimization and effectiveness of operations, provide context to others who manage teams, and develop frameworks for relationships with key internal and/or external stakeholders. The position is actively involved with the ongoing development of the Network’s planning, development, and integration; and is a member of CTN’s Senior Management Team. This position reports to the Vice President, Programs and System Partnerships.
Responsibilities:
The successful incumbent will be responsible for the following duties and responsibilities:
Service Delivery:
- Collaborate with programs and services and network partner managers to ensure: evidence informed clinical protocols and service pathways, coordinated service delivery and integrated care plans, inter-professional practice protocols, family centred service delivery
- Ensure that CTN’s clinical policies and procedures meet the mandate, mission and service agreement requirements for the delivery of all CTN funded services
- Implement strategies to leverage the clinical network outside of the hosted resources to provide optimum solutions to services for the clients of CTN
- Ensure appropriate risk management response to family relations issues, programs and services related risk situations and individual clinical issues of an extraordinary nature related to programs and services
Local Team Operations:
- Ensure appropriate clinical activities, family and provider engagement and inter-professional programs and activities at the local team sites
- Develop an approach to risk management for local teams including response to family relations and local team issues
Quality Management and Improvement:
- Ensure efficient use of resources by establishing and monitoring benchmarks and indicators for programs and services
- Work with CTN and network partner staff to continuously improve client outcomes within the funding available and to maximize the effectiveness of the Network
- Maintain accreditation standards for related area and actively participate in the accreditation process
- Monitor financial and material resources within assigned services and approve expenditures within established parameters
Team Leadership:
- Provide full scope of leadership responsibilities to a team of function-specific resources including recruitment, setting/measuring performance outcomes, career development / counseling, approval of leadership and training opportunities, and performance management
Network Leadership:
- Participate as a member of the senior team establishing strategic and operational objectives to guide the direction of the organization
- Work with Communications on the communication, promotion, and related requirements to facilitate awareness, accessibility and enhanced service and program operations
- Undertake assigned weekend, evening and related coverage assignments as directed by the VP, Programs and System Partnerships
- Undertake the role of Interim Chief Executive Officer in the absence of the VP, Programs and System Partnerships
Corporate Services:
- Take every precaution reasonable in the circumstances for the protection of workers at CTN; advise workers of the existence of any potential or actual danger to the health or safety of the workers and ensure that workers follow required CTN Health and Safety Procedures
- Ensure legal compliance to the Employee Standards Act of Ontario, Ontario Health & Safety Act, and other regulations and best practices
- Undertake other tasks and meeting assignments relevant to the position as assigned by the VP, Programs and System Partnerships
What We Need:
- A minimum of four-years University degree in Health Science or related field is required
- Must be a member in good standing of the appropriate regulatory college
- Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in the health care or social service sector at supervisory and/or managerial levels
- Broad clinical knowledge of services for children with developmental disabilities and developmental needs
- A strong understanding of inter-professional practice and experience in collaborative network delivery models and family centered service delivery considered an asset
- Working knowledge of relevant legislation and professional college guidelines, service and system integration and inter-professional practice literature and program and system evaluation considered an asset
- Experience in research, analytical and associated fields related to clinical services development and delivery, policies and procedures, evaluation and compliance, and other related functions
- Ability to lead and implement change in a collaborative environment and to foster an environment which promotes personal accountability
- Ability to lead a culture and work environment that attracts, retains and motivates the highest caliber of professionals from diverse backgrounds and promotes diversity, equity and inclusion
- Demonstrated experience in managing changing priorities, trends, legislative requirements, and emerging issues and has the ability to apply critical thinking and gauge the potential impact on goals and priorities
- Demonstrated skill in financial management including budget development, variance analysis, forecasting and analysis
- Proficient in Microsoft products and other relevant applications
- Ability to work flexible hours in support of requirements that may fall outside of the typical work hour framework
- Knowledge of the children’s service systems in Simcoe County and York Region considered an asset
- Lived experience as a person with a disability or a caregiver of a child with a disability and/or developmental needs is considered an asset
- Ability to communicate in French or other languages considered an asset
- Experience with and understanding of various cultures and cultural communities including Francophone, First Nations, Métis and Inuit (FNMI) communities considered an asset
- Certified First Aid considered an asset
- Demonstrated commitment to a safe environment for employees, clients and families by working in compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act and related policies
Selected Successful Candidate Will Be Required To:
- Produce a clear police record check with a vulnerable sector check prior to start of employment
- Be able to travel to assigned office, between CTN sites and/or other locations as required
- Any candidate being considered for employment at Children’s Treatment Network (“CTN”) must be able to provide supporting documentation to confirm their eligibility to legally work within Canada, Proof of eligibility includes but is not limited to a social insurance number (SIN), Canadian birth certificate, passport, citizenship certificate, permanent residence card, open work permit, or valid receipt from Immigration Canada of an application for a post-graduate work permit.

Starting Salary: $140,547
Salary Range: $140,547 - $156,162
