Start Date: As soon as possible
Shift: 2pm to 6pm, Monday to Friday
Qualifications
- Minimum of Grade 12 diploma from a recognized educational institution or General Education Development (GED) is preferred;
- Fireman’s Certificate, First Aid/CPR, WHMIS or willingness to obtain;
- Demonstrated knowledge of cleaning processes, products and equipment;
- Demonstrated knowledge of basic building maintenance procedures, tools and equipment;
- Strong communication skills;
- Ability to work as part of a team;
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision;
- Ability to deal with a broad range of students, staff and members of the general public;
- Ability to work in varied climates and conditions which may include: confined spaces, dust, vapours, fumes or slippery surfaces;
- Good physical condition;
- Ability to exert up to 100 lbs of force occasionally;
- Ability to exert up to 50 lbs of force frequently;
- Ability to exert up to 20 lbs of force constantly to move objects.
Duties (may Include But Are Not Limited To)
- Daily cleaning and disinfecting when students are in attendance
- Special cleaning during school breaks
- Minor repairs and maintenance
- Operating mechanical equipment such as snow blower, lawn mower, power scrubber etc.
- Yard work, including snow removal and lawn mowing
