Job Profile
Reporting to the Coordinator of Desktop and Mobility Services, the Desktop and Mobility Analyst is responsible for the effective administration, operation, troubleshooting, security, and ongoing maintenance of departmental desktop and mobility equipment, with particular emphasis on supporting 9-1-1 operations and associated technologies.
The Desktop and Mobility Analyst will be responsible for managing small to medium sized projects for the Desktop and Mobility Branch including development of planning, procedures and support plans, and assists/supports the Coordinator of Desktop and Mobility related to Branch planning efforts.
The Desktop and Mobility Analyst is accountable for the maintenance, support and operation of the department's technology solutions and will identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions using best practices.
As The Desktop And Mobility Analyst, You Will
- Support lifecycle of departmental desktop and mobility solutions.
- Assist in Desktop and Mobility Branch Strategic Planning and Analysis.
- Participate in or lead DMS-related project management activities as assigned to further the project goals and meet the project requirements.
- Ensure risk and cybersecurity controls are effective for departmental desktop & mobility services.
Your Education And Qualifications Include
- Degree in a technology focused discipline or equivalent education and experience.
- Current A+ Certification and Microsoft365 Fundamentals Certification or equivalent certifications.
- Three years of work-related experience in the deployment/maintenance/support of computers, mobile devices, peripherals, networks, current operating systems, productivity tools, and software applications.
- Six months' experience in a customer service-related field.
- Experience investigating, analyzing, evaluating and resolving desktop and mobility problems.
- Previous supervisory, project, or leadership experience is desired.
- Ability to install and update various commercial and custom developed applications.
- Ability to identify and implement process improvement opportunities.
- Ability to discern business or user requirements and translate them into feasible technical solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to conduct research and make recommendations.
- Ability to create and maintain process and system documentation.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain staff morale, foster, develop and maintain effective and positive working relationships with teams, partnerships and alliances, and engage and influence partners to achieve target outcomes.

Position Reports To
- *In accordance with Article 4, an employee who enters the bargaining unit on or after the date of ratification [October 29, 2020] shall be placed on Schedule A-2.
Employees of the bargaining unit who are on Schedule A-2 at the time of ratification will continue to be paid in accordance with Schedule A-2. Employees of the bargaining unit who are on Schedule A-1 at the time of ratification will continue to be paid in accordance with Schedule A-1 until they are the successful applicant to a position at a higher Administrative Salary Level (Grade) or they (or the Association on their behalf) initiate a successful reclassification to a higher Administrative Salary Level (Grade) in which case they will be placed on Schedule A-2 and subsequently follow article 25-2 (Position Evaluation - Treatment of Incumbents).
