Gift of Christmas Assistant
CityKidz is seeking an enthusiastic and organized Gift of Christmas Assistant to support the Resource Development Department during our annual Gift of Christmas campaign. The ideal candidate is a people-focused individual with strong customer service and organizational skills who enjoys engaging with donors, volunteers, and community partners. They are dependable, detail-oriented, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. This posting is for an existing seasonal position within the organization.

Position Overview:
Reporting to the Resource Development Administrator, the Gift of Christmas Assistant plays an important role in creating a welcoming and positive experience for donors, volunteers, and community supporters. By providing excellent customer service, coordinating toy drive activities, and supporting administrative processes, the incumbent helps ensure the successful delivery of the Gift of Christmas program.
Responsibilities:
Supporter Engagement
- Greet supporters, and assist in bringing toys into the building
- Provide tours of CityKidz to interested guests
- Maintain hospitality space for guests of the Toy Store
- Ensure all supporters are thanked for their generosity
Toy Drives
- Provide support to Toy Drive volunteers
- Coordinate toy pick up for authorized drop off locations
- Support toy pick up for authorized Toy Drives
Administration
- Complete required donor and toy intake forms
- Monitor toy drive schedule and alert staff to changes
- Support in the scheduling of Toy Drives as assigned
- Enter data into Toy Intake chart
- Ensure Resource Development desk is prepared, organized and clean
Qualifications and Demonstrated Skills:
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Superb interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively on a team of various departments, teams, volunteers and donors
- Ability to interact with volunteers and donors in a professional manner representing CityKidz well
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced demanding environment
- Ability to complete occasional evening and weekend work
- Comfortable working on their feet for many hours of the day
- Comfortable lifting large bags of toys (up to 25 pounds)
- 25+ years of age (vehicle insurance requirement)
