Original job description

Bring your culinary skills to Civeo Premium Services Employees LP at the Tse Zul Camp in Faro, Yukon, and be part of a team that delivers great food and exceptional hospitality in the heart of Canada's North.

This is an opportunity to enjoy a true work-life balance with 14 days on / 14 days off rotation, competitive wages, and the chance to work alongside a supportive team in a dynamic hospitality environment.

Reporting to the designated supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals for our guests, showcasing your expertise across a variety of cuisines. Key Responsibilities include preparing a diverse range of meats, salads, sandwiches, and entrees, maintaining proper inventory levels and upholding sanitation standards, supporting daily meal preparation and kitchen operations, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

What do we offer:

Hourly Rate: $24.50/ hour
Schedule: 10-hour shifts
Estimated Gross Monthly Earnings: up to $4,000/ per month (Figures are estimates before deductions and may vary based on actual hours worked and payroll cycles)
Paid Travel from: Edmonton YEG, Calgary YYC , and Vancouver YVR

Key Responsibilities

Plans and organizes the culinary team in the preparation of food items and task assignments.
Assist with menu ordering, inventory, and daily production planning.
Preparation and production of menu items.
Ensure daily production levels are met.
Ensure all daily, weekly and monthly cleaning lists are completed.
Ensure food quality, food safety and service standards are met and maintained daily.
Adhere to safety policies and procedures by following company Safe Work Practices and Standard Operating Procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

1-3+ years food service experience, preferably in a remote environment.
Red Seal Cook designation is an asset.
Food Safety certification valid in the province of Alberta is required.
First Aid Certification is an asset.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Must be able to move, lift, carry, pull, push, and place objects away weighing up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
Must successfully pass a pre-access Drug and Alcohol test as a condition of employment.
