Role Description The Landscape Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based in Tiny, ON. This position involves performing day-to-day lawn and property maintenance tasks, including mowing, trimming, edging, garden bed cleanups, and seasonal yard cleanups. The Landscape Assistant will help with leaf and yard waste removal, mulch and soil installation, basic planting tasks, and general property upkeep. Responsibilities also include assisting with gutter cleaning, pressure washing, equipment setup and cleanup, and following safety procedures. The role requires working outdoors in varying weather conditions, communicating with customers in a professional manner, and supporting the team to ensure jobs are completed on schedule and to company standards.
Qualifications
- Ability to perform lawn care tasks such as mowing, trimming, edging, and basic garden maintenance.
- Experience or aptitude for outdoor property work, including seasonal cleanups, leaf and yard waste removal, and mulch/soil handling.
- Comfort using and maintaining basic landscaping tools and equipment (e.g., mowers, trimmers, blowers) with attention to safety.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work independently or as part of a small team.
- Good communication skills for interacting with customers and following instructions clearly.
- Physical ability to lift moderate loads, work on feet for extended periods, and perform tasks in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites in Tiny and surrounding areas.
- Previous landscaping, groundskeeping, or property maintenance experience is an asset but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
