Role Description This full-time Mental Health Worker role is a hybrid position based in Montréal, QC, with a mix of in-clinic work and approved work-from-home tasks. Day-to-day responsibilities include providing direct psychosocial support to clients, assisting with case management, and collaborating with psychologists and other mental health professionals on care plans. The Mental Health Worker will conduct intake interviews, maintain accurate documentation, and help monitor client progress. The role also involves coordinating referrals to community resources, participating in team meetings, and contributing to outreach or psychoeducational activities as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal skills, including empathy, active listening, and the ability to build trust with diverse clients.
- Background in social work or related human services, with experience in community resource navigation and support.
- Education or training in psychology, with an understanding of common mental health conditions and evidence-informed interventions.
- Experience in case management, including assessment, care planning, documentation, and follow-up.
- Practical experience or demonstrated interest in mental health, preferably in a clinical or community setting.
- Relevant post-secondary degree or diploma in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team and to manage a caseload independently.
- Strong organizational and communication skills; proficiency with electronic record-keeping systems.
- Comfort working in a hybrid environment and maintaining confidentiality in both in-clinic and remote settings.
- Fluency in French and English is an asset, given the client population in Montréal.
