And we are looking for a seasoned Winter Crew Members and Crew Leads to fill current openings. Our standards are high and yours should be too. Our Winter Crews handle high-traffic and complex sites, ensuring every one meets our strict quality standards.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Operate snow removal equipment such as Snowrators, snow blowers, snow shovels, brine applicators or salt spreaders to remove snow and ice from designated areas.
- Communicate updates, issues, damage and anomalies to relevant parties.
- Apply salt, brine, or other de-icing agents to surfaces to improve traction and melt ice.
- Be prepared to respond to emergency calls for snow removal, especially during heavy snowfalls or severe weather conditions.
- Promote a positive and professional team environment through effective communication and being solution focused.
- Follow all health and safety regulations and guidelines.
- Perform various snow removal and de-icing as required
Qualifications
- On-call availability, especially during evenings, weekends and holidays from November - April
- One or more years of snow crew or snow equipment experience
- First Aid certification preferred
- Valid G driver’s license and clean abstract (Lead)
- Ability to drive a Truck and Trailer (Lead)
- Strong communication skills
- Punctual, trustworthy, and reliable
- Positive and professional team attitude
Physical Demands / Work Environment
- Seasonal – as needed. Occasional extended hours may be required
- Work outdoors in many different conditions. (Read: Most of them.)
- Travel (between job sites, etc.)
- Lift and move up to twenty-five pounds and occasionally up to fifty pounds
- Lots of standing, bending and crouching
- Lots of repetitive tasks
- Occasional exposure to wet and/or cold conditions, fumes, or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals
- Moderate noise levels
- Wearing of PPE
