Job Summary
Clintar is hiring a full-time Shop Mechanic. Join our esteemed team in delivering top-notch service and ensuring our equipment runs safely and efficiently. Ideal for those who value safety, seek challenges, and adapt to a varied schedule, especially in the winter.
Responsibilities

Summer Operations
- Maintain commercial mowers, zero-turns, tractors, skid steers, and other equipment.
- Service small engines and landscaping equipment.
- Maintain landscape construction equipment and attachments.
- Maintain trucks, trailers, and service vehicles.
- Perform oil changes, greasing, filter changes, inspections, and preventative maintenance.
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems.
- Complete equipment repairs and prepare equipment for daily deployment.
- Respond to field equipment breakdowns when required.
- Maintain equipment service and repair records.

Winter Operations
- Prepare and winterize equipment before snow season.
- Maintain loaders, trucks, skid steers, sidewalk equipment, snowblowers, and snowplows.
- Install, grease, inspect, and test snowplows and attachments.
- Maintain salt/sand spreaders.
- Complete pre-storm equipment inspections.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns during snow events day or night.
- Perform emergency repairs when required.
- Complete post-storm inspections and repairs.
- Maintain winter emergency parts and supplies.
- Preventative Maintenance
A major part of this position is preventing equipment failures before they happen.
You will be responsible for:
- Scheduled preventative maintenance.
- Equipment inspections.
- Tracking service intervals and equipment hours.
- Identifying upcoming repairs.
- Maintaining accurate repair records.
- Reporting major equipment issues to management.
- Keeping critical equipment ready for deployment.
- What We're Looking For
- Previous mechanic or equipment technician experience.
- Experience with heavy equipment, trucks, landscaping equipment, or small engines.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with hydraulic and electrical systems.
- Ability to work independently.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Valid driver's licence.
- Ability to work extended hours, evenings, or weekends during major snow events.
- Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Red Seal/Journeyperson certification is an asset but not required.
Equipment Experience Is an Asset
