We are looking for a Senior Network Infrastructure Specialist for one of our leading clients.
The Senior Network Infrastructure Specialist will deploy and maintain secure, highly available SDN in the Data Center along with LAN, WAN, WLAN and SD-WAN across the Data Center and remote sites, while providing guidance and oversight to intermediate and junior staff.

Responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain secure, highly available LAN, WAN, WLAN, SDN, SD-WAN, Internet and cloud connections, including automatic failover for disaster recovery
- Provide Level 3 support for network infrastructure across cloud, on-premises data centers and remote sites
- Install, configure, maintain and upgrade routers, switches, WLAN controllers and access points
- Work with SMEs across IT to design reliable, stable and high performing solutions
- Set up and maintain network monitoring and troubleshooting tools
- Manage network equipment lifecycle and inventory (replacement and disposal)
- Create and validate disaster avoidance and recovery plans with other IT teams
- Prepare procurement documents, budgeting and forecasting for network infrastructure
- Manage vendor relationships
- Create change requests, MOPs, SOPs and network design documentation
- Mentor intermediate and junior staff
Requirements and Qualifications:
- University Degree or College Diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- One or more of the following certifications (or equivalent): CCIE (Data Center, Enterprise Infrastructure, Enterprise Wireless, Collaboration, Service Provider or Security), DevNet Expert, CCDE, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional
- At least 5 years of experience with Cisco or equivalent vendor in:
- Designing, implementing and troubleshooting Data Center Network/LAN/WAN/WLAN for enterprise businesses
- Cisco ASR/ISR routers and Catalyst/Nexus switches
- OSPF and BGP routing protocols
- IPSec VPN
- At least 2 years of experience with:
- QoS for critical applications like voice
- Performance troubleshooting tools such as Wireshark, Fluke, NetAlly, Netscout, SolarWinds or Viavi
- Network Access Control with Cisco ISE or equivalent
- DHCP, RADIUS and TACACS
- Linux and/or Windows operating systems
- Databases such as MSSQL
- Demonstrated experience with networking and security configurations in Microsoft Azure
- Strong communication, planning, organizational and problem-solving skills
- Valid Ontario Driver's Licence (Class G)
- Must be able to pass a thorough background check
Preferred Skills:
- SD-WAN solutions from Cisco, VMware, Fortinet or Palo Alto
- Firewalls from Cisco, Fortinet, Checkpoint or Palo Alto
- AWS, Google Cloud or other cloud networking
- Outside plant single mode fiber optic networks
- Electrical power distribution for data centres
- DevOps and Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Ansible, GitLab, Docker, Jenkins and Python
- Network vendor management
