Minibus Driver – Holiday Club Shuttle Service
Help local children get to holiday club safely, happily and on time.
We’re
urgently looking for a reliable and friendly Minibus Driver to join our holiday club team in Oxshott for
October Half Term 2026.
You’ll be responsible for safely transporting children between local schools and our holiday club, providing a friendly face at the start and end of their day.
📅 October Half Term: Monday 19 October – Friday 30 October 2026
This is a great opportunity for an experienced professional driver looking for part-time, school-holiday work and who enjoys being around children.
The Role
- Drive safely: Operate our 16-seater minibus on set routes between schools and our holiday club.
- Keep things in check: Carry out daily vehicle checks and keep the minibus clean and tidy.
- Be a friendly face: Greet children warmly, ensure they feel safe, and maintain a calm and professional approach.
- Stay connected: Work closely with the holiday club team to ensure smooth journeys and well-organised journeys.
- Lend a hand: There may occasionally be opportunities to support with trips or outings during the day.
About You
Essential requirements:
- Aged 25 or over for insurance purposes
- Full Category D1 (Passenger Carrying Vehicle/PVC) driving licence
- Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
- A safe and responsible driving record
- Confident driving a 16-seater minibus
- Punctual, reliable and professional
- Friendly and approachable, with a calm manner around children
- Able to commit to the October Half Term dates
Desirable
- Previous experience driving chidlren or school/holiday club transport
- Good knowledge of local routes around Oxshott and the surrounding area
- First Aid or Safeguarding training (we can provide training where required)
- Enhanced DBS Check
The Practical Bits
- Location: Oxshott, Surrey
- Dates: Monday 19 October - Friday 30 October 2026
- Hours: 07:45–09:30 and 16:30–18:00, Monday–Friday during the holiday club
- Contract: Permanent, part-time (job share available)
- Job share: Available- we're happy to consider different combinations of regular shifts
- Standard rate: £15.30/hr + 12.07% holiday pay - £17.15/hr
- Morning rate: Early shifts are paid at time and a quarter, meaning ££19.13/hr + 12.07% holiday pay = £21.44/hr
The enhanced morning rate reflects the early start and unsociable hours.
There will also be opportunities to work on our minibus during future school holiday clubs.
