Original job description

About Clutch

At Clutch, we are reinventing the way Canadians buy and own cars. We had enough of traditional dealerships that took advantage of customers and knew that we could build an incredible car-buying experience while leaving a positive impact on the communities we serve.

Clutch is looking for a Car Detailer to ensure that all vehicles that progress through our onboarding process are maintained and cleaned to the highest possible standard. Treating every vehicle like it is your own, working well with others, willingness to learn, and having high attention to detail are all essential to succeeding in this role.

Named six years in a row to the Globe & Mail’s list of the Top Growing Companies in Canada and awarded spots on Deloitte’s Technology Fast 50™ and Fast 500™ lists, we’re looking to add curious, hard-working, and driven individuals to our growing team.

Headquartered in Toronto, Clutch was founded in 2017 and currently services Ontario, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island. Clutch is backed by a number of world-class investors, including D1 Capital, Canaan, Real Ventures, BrandProject, and Upper90. To learn more, visit clutch.ca.

What you’ll do

Pressure wash and shampoo the exterior of vehicles
Steam, extract, and vacuum the interior of vehicles
Polish swirl marks and scratches
Dress tires and maintain exterior finishes
Proactively monitor and maintain detailing supplies and tools
Continuously help improve detailing processes
Support the team in maintaining a clean and organized work environment

What we’re looking for

Interest in the automotive industry
Willingness to learn and develop skills as an automotive detailer
High attention to detail and ability to multitask
Team player above all else
Valid G2 or G driver’s license (clean driver’s abstract)
Post-secondary education is an asset
Able to commit to a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week, including overtime based on business needs.

It’d be great if you have

Previous automotive detailing experience
Comfortable driving manual transmission

Why you’ll love it at Clutch

Competitive salary
Health & dental benefits
Autonomy & ownership – contribute to processes and help maintain high vehicle quality standards
Opportunity to grow your skills in automotive operations within a fast-growing company

Employment Type

Existing, Permanent Full-Time

Compensation & Benefits

Wage: $20.00 per hour
Benefits: Comprehensive benefits plans include healthcare, dental care, vision care, prescriptions, life insurance, and dependent coverage; start from day 1. (Applicable for Permanent Full-Time)
