The Senior Retail Sales Planning & Forecasting Consultant is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive sales planning and forecasting strategies for a specific product line. This role focuses on optimizing sales performance through data-driven insights, accurate sales forecasts, and effective monitoring of key performance indicators. By collaborating with cross-functional teams and aligning with broader business objectives, the Sr Consultant ensures that sales initiatives are strategically implemented to drive revenue growth and support the organization's overall success. The broader team aims to provide accurate sales forecasts, actionable insights, and data-driven recommendations to enhance sales performance and achieve business goals.
How you will create impact:
- Develop and maintain comprehensive sales plans across all product lines (Home & Auto, Life & Wealth, Commercial & Farm)
- Collaborate with the sales team to ensure alignment with the overall organizational strategic plan and regional objectives and actively monitor plan performance.
- Adjust sales plans as needed to respond to market changes and business needs.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts to support business planning and decision-making Analyze sales performance and trends to predict future sales outcomes.
- Monitor market trends and proactively adjust sales forecasting and strategies to capitalize on emerging opportunities.
- Work closely with Data & Analytics to ensure data accuracy and reliability in forecasting.
- Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs - leading and lagging) to track sales performance to align with national and regional business objectives and profitability targets.
- Monitor sales KPIs to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on KPI analysis to drive performance improvements.
- Track and communicate the performance of sales plans and forecasts.
- Provide regular updates and performance reports to the AVP, Sales Growth and Retail Sales leadership.
To join our team:
- Possess 6 to 9 years of experience in Insurance or Financial Services industry.
- You have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Sales.
- Certified Sales Professional (CSP) is an asset.
- Proven ability to maintain independent perspective on sales-related decisions
- Ability to develop and implement sales planning and forecasting strategies aligned with business goals
- Proficiency in utilizing data and analytics for decision-making
- Ability to innovate and improve sales planning and forecasting processes
- Expert knowledge of sales planning, forecasting, and analysis techniques
- Thorough understanding of sales performance metrics and KPIs
- Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Aligning sales initiatives with the organization's overall strategic goals
- Driving revenue growth through the development of strategic sales plans
- Monitoring KPIs and generating detailed, actionable performance reports
- Conducting market and competitive analysis to adjust sales strategies effectively

Expected salary range $91,058.00 - $141,000.00+
The salary amount for the successful candidate is determined by Co-operators in its discretion and will vary depending on several criteria including but not limited to: local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualification, experience and education.
Employees may also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn additional compensation tied to individual and/or business performance, or other business metrics.
