Job Title: Data Analyst Specialist
Job Summary
The Data Analyst Specialist is responsible for collecting, analyzing, interpreting, and presenting data to support business decisions. This role transforms complex datasets into meaningful insights through data analysis, reporting, visualization, and process improvement. The specialist works closely with stakeholders to identify trends, measure performance, and provide data-driven recommendations.
Key Responsibilities
Collect, clean, validate, and analyze large datasets from multiple sources
Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and data visualizations
Identify trends, patterns, and opportunities through statistical analysis
Translate business requirements into analytical solutions
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide actionable insights
Create automated reporting processes to improve efficiency
Perform data quality checks and resolve inconsistencies
Collaborate with business teams, IT, and leadership to support strategic initiatives
Prepare presentations and communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
Support forecasting, performance analysis, and business intelligence projects
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Business, Mathematics, or related field
Experience working with data analysis and reporting tools
Strong knowledge of SQL for data extraction and analysis
Experience with Excel and data visualization tools such as Microsoft Power BI or Tableau
Understanding of statistical analysis and data modeling concepts
Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
Ability to interpret complex data and communicate insights effectively
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Python or R for data analysis
Knowledge of databases and data warehouse concepts
Experience with business intelligence (BI) platforms
Familiarity with ETL processes and data governance
Experience working in Agile or cross-functional teams
