WHAT TO EXPECT
Coldstream Clear’s Supply Chain team works to maximize efficiency and execute many improvements internally throughout operations. Operations include a main production facility in Truro, Nova Scotia as well as four retail locations in Stewiacke, Dartmouth, Antigonish, and Truro, totaling over 100 employees throughout. We are a very fast-paced, growing company that routinely pushes status quos and industry standards. This is especially true in warehouse process design, material handling efficiencies, quality, and reliability. We normalize exceptional work and improvements, ensuring our teams are well-resourced to achieve it with the best tools, systems, equipment and processes. Our Supply Chain team adds significant value by evaluating future supply & demand, planning, maintaining inventory integrity, and self-performing a variety of continuous improvement projects.
Your Role
Reporting to Director of Supply Chain, The Warehouse Supervisor (Inventory & Logistics) works to ensure warehouse flow and daily operations improve and adapt to support brand growth. This role requires a proactive leader who thrives on solving problems creatively, implementing structure, and driving continuous improvement. You will oversee an agile, capable team of 2-3 Forklift Operators and closely support a team of 3-5 Order Pickers/Delivery Drivers during daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Inventory Control: Implement and maintain a rigorous weekly cycle counting program to achieve a minimum 99% stock accuracy rate, eliminating stockouts and phantom inventory.
- Shipping & Fulfillment: Oversee the daily pick, pack, and ship operations. Ensure all orders meet strict carrier cut-off times and logistics KPIs.
- Systems Management: Act as the primary administrator for our Warehouse Management System (WMS) system, ensuring all physical movements match digital records in real-time.
- Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and schedule a floor team of 2-3 forklift operators, and closely support our team of 3-5 warehouse associates/delivery drivers, managing labor costs and optimizing shift productivity.
- Goods Receiving: Standardize the inbound dock to put-away process to ensure all arriving freight is inspected, logged, and put away within 4 hours of arrival.
- Safety & Organization: Enforce standard safety practices and maintain a clean, strategically organized layout to reduce picking travel times.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience: 3+ years of proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor, Lead, or Coordinator in a fast-paced environment.
- Technical Skills: Deep familiarity with modern WMS and shipping software. Proficient in Excel for data tracking.
- Problem Solving: A track record of actively resolving inventory errors and shipping bottlenecks.
- Physical/Licensing: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and valid forklift license.
Skills, tools & Systems
- Manufacturing environment and/or LEAN methodology experience
- LEAN and/or Six Sigma certifications and experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), including RF Scanners
- Experience with SAP Business One or other ERP systems
- Experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Monday.com
