Role Description This temporary, on-site Professional Interior Painter role is based in New Westminster, BC. The painter will prepare interior surfaces by cleaning, sanding, patching, and priming, and will apply finishes using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment in accordance with project specifications. Day-to-day tasks include reading and following work orders and drawings, protecting surrounding areas, mixing and matching paint colors, and maintaining clean, safe workspaces. The role involves coordinating with site supervisors and other trades to meet schedule milestones, performing touch-ups and punch-list items, and adhering to safety regulations and company quality standards.
Qualifications
- Strong interior Painting and Paint application skills, including surface preparation and finishing.
- Proficiency in Spray Painting techniques for commercial and strata interiors.
- Ability to interpret Architectural Drawings and project specifications for layout and finish requirements.
- Basic Carpentry skills for minor repairs, patching, and surface readiness.
- Previous experience as a professional interior painter in commercial or strata environments.
- Knowledge of paint systems, coatings, and products from major manufacturers (e.g., Sherwin-Williams, Benjamin Moore).
- Commitment to safety practices, including compliance with WorkSafeBC or similar regulations.
- Ability to work efficiently on ladders, scaffolding, and in active job sites, with attention to detail and quality.
- Reliable transportation to New Westminster, BC job sites and flexibility to meet project schedules.
