YOUR DAY TO DAY:
We are looking for a Receiving Inspector to join our Quality Assurance team within Power Electronics. This role is responsible for the accurate inspection and verification of incoming and finished products against approved drawings, specifications, inspection plans, and documented requirements.
You will perform receiving and final inspections, review supplier documentation, verify product traceability, and maintain complete inspection records. The role combines hands-on inspection with quality control, issue escalation, and continuous improvement, helping ensure that only conforming products are released to inventory, production, or shipment.
YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR/TO:
Receiving & Final Inspection

Perform receiving and/or final inspections against approved drawings, specifications, inspection plans, and documented requirements.

Verify product using appropriate calibrated measuring and inspection equipment.

Confirm part identification, revision level, quantity, and traceability before acceptance and release.

Verify that required First Article Inspection (FAI) documentation is available, complete, and acceptable, or perform the FAI when required before releasing material to inventory or production.
Documentation & Record Management

Review supplier documentation, certifications, and inspection records for completeness and compliance.

Maintain accurate, complete, and traceable inspection records within JD Edwards ERP and applicable Quality Management Systems.
Nonconforming Product & Issue Escalation

Identify, document, segregate, and control nonconforming or suspect product, and initiate NCP/NCR records as required.

Exercise authority to place product on hold and prevent release when conformity to requirements cannot be demonstrated.

Escalate significant, recurring, or systemic quality issues to Quality Engineering, Supplier Quality, and/or the Material Review Board (MRB).
Quality Compliance & Continuous Improvement

Support compliance with applicable ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 requirements, procedures, and work instructions.

Support continuous improvement, supplier quality, and corrective and preventive action (CAPA) activities.

Support internal, customer, and regulatory audits as required.
YOU ARE THE RIGHT PERSON FOR THIS JOB IF YOU HAVE:

A high school diploma or equivalent; technical education in Quality, Manufacturing, or Engineering Technology is preferred.

Experience in receiving, mechanical, dimensional, and/or final inspection within a manufacturing environment.

The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and inspection requirements.

Working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) and dimensional inspection techniques.

Proficiency using micrometers, calipers, pin gauges, microscopes, and other precision measuring equipment.

An understanding of metrology, calibration, and measurement traceability.

Experience identifying, documenting, and controlling nonconforming product.

Familiarity with ISO 9001 and/or ISO 13485; experience in a regulated manufacturing environment is preferred.

Experience with ERP and electronic Quality Management Systems (eQMS); JD Edwards experience is an asset.

Strong attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make objective quality decisions and work independently.
