Oracle DB Manual & Automation Tester

Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Oracle Database Tester with strong expertise in manual and automation testing, Oracle SQL, data validation, and backend testing to support TD Bank applications and data platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform end-to-end Oracle database testing, including tables, views, stored procedures, functions, triggers, packages, and data validations.
- Develop and execute detailed SQL queries to validate data accuracy, transformations, reconciliations, and business rules.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, system, UAT, and database testing.
- Validate ETL/data pipelines and source-to-target data mappings.
- Design and maintain database test cases and automation scripts.
- Automate database and API test scenarios using tools/frameworks such as Selenium, Java/Python, REST Assured, Postman, or Tosca.
- Perform backend/API testing and validate data across upstream and downstream systems.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and document defects; perform root-cause analysis and coordinate resolution with development teams.
- Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
- Work closely with Business Analysts, Developers, Data Engineers, and QA teams in an Agile environment.
Mandatory Skills
- 7+ years of QA/testing experience with strong Oracle Database Testing experience.
- Strong hands-on Oracle SQL and database validation skills.
- Excellent understanding of tables, views, stored procedures, functions, triggers, joins, complex queries, and data reconciliation.
- Strong experience in both Manual and Automation Testing.
- Experience with API testing and backend validation.
- Experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Java/Python, Tosca, REST Assured, or Postman.
- Strong understanding of STLC, SDLC, defect lifecycle, regression, integration, and UAT testing.
- Experience working in Banking/Financial Services, preferably with large Canadian banks.
- Strong communication, analytical, troubleshooting, and stakeholder-management skills.
Good to Have
- Experience with ETL/Data Warehouse testing.
- Experience with Unix/Linux, CI/CD, Jenkins, Git, Jira, and Agile/Scrum.
- Knowledge of Oracle data migration and reconciliation testing.
- Experience testing large-scale enterprise banking applications.
