About the Role
Support site operations to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction by delivering excellence in safety, service, quality, and cost management. Partner with site leadership to provide effective leadership and development for operations staff, including recruiting, training, coaching, and performance management, while driving continuous improvement initiatives. Hours are Monday-Friday 330pm-1130pm.
Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on leadership by mentoring, coaching, and developing employees while fostering a positive, productive work environment.
- Lead and enhance safety performance on shift through training, accident prevention initiatives, and adherence to workplace safety standards.
- Manage shift maintenance activities and coordinate with maintenance teams to resolve equipment issues and minimize operational downtime.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by implementing best practices to improve efficiency, quality, and cost performance across operations.
- Monitor operational costs, productivity, and yield metrics while partnering with site leadership to achieve business objectives.
- Address performance, attendance, and employee relations matters in partnership with Human Resources.
- Ensure compliance with established policies, procedures, work instructions, and operational standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, College Diploma, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Skills
- Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience with production planning and workflow optimization.
- Strong relationship-building, analytical problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.
- Experience with recruitment, hiring, employee development, and corrective action processes.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with ERP systems, workforce management platforms, and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) is an asset.
Experience
- 5-7 years of frontline supervisory experience in manufacturing
- Experience leading teams within a formal safety program.
- Experience working in a regulated operational environment is an asset.
- Maintenance planning or maintenance program exposure is an asset.
Base pay range is $64,000 - 88,000 annually
Salary ranges provided take into account a wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications, geographic differentials and other business and organizational needs.
