We're looking for a Survey Assistant in Saskatoon, SK to support our survey crews across Saskatchewan. Ideally, you have some survey experience or a civil or geomatics technology background, and want to grow into a party chief role with an innovative, forward-thinking company.
The Work:
- Support our party chiefs on construction, municipal and legal survey projects across Saskatchewan
- Work with crews out of Saskatoon and Regina, especially during the busy season
- Set up, use and look after GPS and other survey equipment
- Collect survey data and help with other field tasks as directed by your party chief
- Communicate clearly with trades, coworkers and clients on site
- Follow safety protocols and help keep the work site safe
- Work outdoors in all seasons and weather, and travel within the province when projects call for it
What you bring to the table:
- A high school diploma and an interest in the geomatics industry
- Post-secondary education in geomatics or civil engineering technology is an asset
- Experience on a survey crew is an asset
- A valid Class 5 driver's licence
- Current First Aid certification is an asset (we'll train you if needed)
- Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test when required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
