Job Summary
Reporting to the HR Generalist, the HR Assistant Intern will support day-to-day HR functions with a focus on recruitment, HR initiatives, and administrative activities. This role offers hands-on experience across a variety of HR functions and provides an opportunity to develop practical skills within the healthcare technology industry.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist with initial resume screening to support recruitment efforts
- Participate in phone interviews as needed to gain exposure and experience
- Support the new hire onboarding process, including documentation and coordination
- Organize and maintain the recruitment inbox to ensure timely communication
- Ensure job postings across all platforms are accurate and up to date
- Help create and maintain a centralized master resume repository
- Assist with scheduling 90-day onboarding surveys and tracking completion
- Send and monitor 30- and 60-day onboarding surveys for new hires
- Conduct external salary benchmarking research to support compensation analysis
- Research milestone recognition best practices and available programs
- Support updates to the external careers page by conducting employee interviews F QMS.04.00
- Review and update the Job Description (JD) library to maintain accuracy and relevance
- Convert hard copy employee files into digital formats using SharePoint
- Assist with developing a competency, knowledge, education, and skills matrix to support talent management and succession planning
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Human Resources, Business Administration, or related program at a University or College
- Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); familiarity with SharePoint is an asset
- Must be trustworthy with a strong sense of ethics due to nature of work and exposure to confidential information.
