We provide contract staffing, permanent recruitment and payroll services, connecting clients with qualified professionals across inspection, engineering, construction, operations and technical disciplines.
As we continue to grow, we are looking for a motivated Recruiter with at least two years of recruitment experience to join our team.
About the Role
You will manage recruitment from initial intake through candidate placement, working closely with candidates, clients and our operations team. You will source and screen talent, prepare candidate submissions, coordinate interviews and support contractor onboarding.
This role suits someone who enjoys building relationships, is comfortable picking up the phone and can manage multiple searches with competing deadlines. You will recruit for current openings while building candidate networks to support upcoming projects and future hiring needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage recruitment for contract and permanent positions, ensuring candidates meet clients’ technical requirements, availability and compensation expectations.
- Work with clients and internal team members to clarify job requirements, project scope, schedules and hiring priorities.
- Source candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, referrals, existing candidate records and direct outreach.
- Conduct screening interviews to assess experience, qualifications, motivation and suitability.
- Prepare clear candidate summaries and submissions, coordinate interviews and maintain timely communication throughout the hiring process.
- Discuss compensation, contract terms, work locations and project expectations with candidates.
- Build and maintain relationships with active and prospective contractors, tracking availability and staying connected throughout assignments.
- Coordinate with onboarding, safety and compliance teams to support reference checks, credential verification, required screening and mobilization.
- Draft job advertisements and outreach messages tailored to each position and candidate market.
- Maintain accurate candidate records, recruitment trackers and client portal information.
- Provide recruitment updates, flag hiring challenges and recommend practical sourcing strategies.
- Support client relationships by following up on submissions, gathering feedback and identifying additional recruitment needs.
Qualifications
- Minimum two years of recruitment experience, ideally within a staffing agency or a high-volume recruitment environment.
- Experience recruiting for oil and gas, engineering, construction, industrial or technical positions is preferred.
- Experience placing contractors and supporting onboarding or mobilization is an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to source candidates proactively and manage recruitment through to placement.
- Strong interviewing skills and the ability to understand technical job requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence engaging candidates and clients by phone.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A dependable, proactive approach and the ability to work independently while contributing to a small team.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word and Excel, and familiarity with LinkedIn and online recruitment tools.
- Experience with client systems such as Fieldglass or Beeline, or compliance platforms such as ISNetworld, is an asset.
- Based in Calgary or the surrounding area and able to attend the office as required under the hybrid work model.
