Role Description The Construction Project Manager is responsible for overseeing construction projects from initiation through completion, ensuring scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives are met. This contract, hybrid role is based in Rocanville, SK, with the ability to complete some tasks from home, such as documentation and coordination activities. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and scheduling work, coordinating trades and suppliers, monitoring site progress, managing budgets and cost controls, and ensuring compliance with safety and building standards. The role also involves preparing and reviewing project reports, maintaining clear communication with clients and internal teams, handling change orders, and resolving issues that arise on site. The Construction Project Manager will collaborate closely with the General Contractor and field crews to deliver projects on time and to required specifications.
Qualifications
- Strong project coordination skills, including scheduling, resource planning, and stakeholder communication.
- Experience in construction project management, with a proven ability to oversee multiple phases of residential, commercial, or industrial builds.
- Competence in budgeting and cost management, including estimating, tracking expenses, and managing change orders.
- Knowledge of construction management practices, site operations, safety standards, and quality control procedures.
- General project management capabilities, including risk management, documentation, and use of project management tools or software.
- Experience working with trades such as carpenters and concrete finishers; previous work in a general contracting environment is an asset.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, crews, and suppliers.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing site conditions in a hybrid work setting.
- Relevant education or certification in construction management, engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to and from job sites in Rocanville, Moosomin, and surrounding areas.
