About the Role
You will work with Account Managers on the National Sales team in a client-facing role that supports all digital sales. As the National Digital Strategist, you are responsible for developing and executing strategic digital and integrated campaigns that align with client objectives, agency requirements, and key performance indicators. In addition, you act as the national team’s digital subject-matter lead by bringing forward strong recommendations on packaging, targeting, measurement, and performance. You will help ensure campaigns launch smoothly, deliver against client KPIs, and generate renewal and incremental revenue opportunities.
You will contribute by:
- Work closely with National Account Managers to understand each advertiser’s performance objectives, success criteria, and key points of contact; be empowered to present recommendations, solutions, and implementation approaches that drive revenue generation and upselling.
- Support the pre-sale process by assisting with RFPs/proposals, sourcing research, providing historical performance proof points, and supplying examples of reporting and measurement approaches.
- Attend client/agency meetings and presentations to provide consultation on the role of digital in the campaign; support Account Managers in preparing for pitches and presenting solutions.
- Manage the day-to-day digital direct, integrated, and programmatic guaranteed campaign details during post-sale; ensure launch readiness, pacing, optimization, and delivery against contracted goals and communicated KPIs.
- Work with Ad Operations, Programmatic, Revenue Management, Product, and other internal stakeholders to ensure campaigns are successfully launched - on time, on budget, and aligned to requirements; facilitate resolution of issues and coordinate changes based on partner recommendations.
- Maintain understanding of privacy and industry standards (e.g., site terms of use, consent/compliance considerations, IAB standards, brand safety, sensitive categories) and keep up to date with digital industry trends and Corus digital brand performance.
- Support internal stakeholders on digital product offerings and best practices; contribute to playbooks, templates, and ongoing training to improve digital fluency across the National Sales team.
- Monitor and optimize live campaigns; prepare, analyze, and communicate performance reporting and post-campaign insights that highlight learnings, renewal opportunities, and future advertising recommendations; identify process-efficiency opportunities and act on them.
Skills and experience you will bring
- 2–5+ years of experience in digital advertising (inside sales, digital strategy, and/or ad operations), ideally supporting national accounts and/or the agency buying community.
- Knowledge of the digital advertising landscape, including ad serving, brand safety, viewability, measurement pixels, and common third-party verification (e.g., IAS, MOAT, DV).
- Experience with digital platforms and programmatic concepts (DSPs, SSPs, DMPs) and understanding of video, display, and mobile assets.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with comfort presenting recommendations to clients/agencies and collaborating across internal teams.
- Aptitude for analytics: ability to interpret performance results, identify optimization opportunities, and translate data into actionable insights and next steps.
- Strong ownership, interpersonal skills, and stakeholder management across Sales, Ad Operations, Programmatic, Revenue Management, and Product.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented, client-focused environment; highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive.
- Proficient in MS Office and comfortable learning new systems; familiarity with Salesforce, AdBook/AdStore, and/or Google Ad Manager is an asset.
