Your Opportunity:
Covenant Health is seeking an organized, collaborative, and innovative Equipment Coordinator to support the Medicine Program across the Grey Nuns Community Hospital and Misericordia Community Hospital sites. Reporting to the Senior Program Officer, the Equipment Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring clinical equipment is available, appropriately deployed, and optimized to support safe, high-quality patient care. This position is responsible for coordinating equipment inventories, monitoring utilization, managing bed resources, and supporting strategic equipment planning across two sites and approximately 400 medicine beds. The successful candidate will collaborate with operational leaders, frontline teams, Clinical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, and vendor partners to improve equipment availability, efficiency, and standardization across the program.
Description:
As the Equipment Coordinator, you will: Maintain and monitor inventories of clinical equipment across Medicine Program sites. Coordinate the movement, allocation, and deployment of patient beds and other clinical equipment. Monitor equipment utilization and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Support implementation and optimization of equipment tracking systems and reporting tools. Coordinate management of standard, specialty, and bariatric beds to meet patient care requirements. Analyze utilization trends and provide recommendations to support operational and strategic decision-making. Collaborate with clinical leaders, operational teams, vendors, Supply Chain Management, and Clinical Engineering. Support planning activities related to equipment replacement, acquisitions, program growth, and capital initiatives. Develop reports and dashboards to support leadership decision-making. Participate in equipment standardization and process improvement initiatives across both sites. This position is non-unionized.

Required Qualifications:
Diploma in healthcare, business administration, engineering, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field. Three to five years of experience in healthcare operations, equipment coordination, logistics, inventory management, supply chain, or a related environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to use data to support operational decisions. Advanced organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic healthcare setting. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with databases, SharePoint, inventory management systems, or equipment tracking applications.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Ability to build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Ability to work independently while exercising sound judgment and initiative.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working within an acute care hospital or Medicine Program environment. Knowledge of bed management, patient flow, and clinical equipment planning. Experience supporting capital planning, equipment procurement, or standardization initiatives.
