Your Opportunity:
The IV Therapy Clinic nurse performs assessment, intervention, and follow up care for ambulatory patients requiring a variety of intravenous therapies, such as, antimicrobial therapy, blood and blood product transfusions, and chronic disease medication infusions. Also responsible for screening and triaging orders, and scheduling patient visits. Works collaboratively with clerical staff, registered nurses, and physicians as well as liaising with other related ambulatory clinics.

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) works as a member of the multidisciplinary health care team, collaborating in the delivery of holistic care and support to patients/residents and families. The LPN practices to full scope, applying professional nursing knowledge, clinical judgment, critical thinking, and communication skills to support safe care and positive health outcomes. Required Qualifications:
Required Qualifications: Graduate of a Practical Nursing program or recognized equivalent required. Active registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses and Health Care Aides of Alberta (CLHA). Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (Level C) required.
Additional Required Qualifications:
2 years of recent acute care medicine/surgery and/or ambulatory IV Therapy experience required. Intravenous insertion certification. Intravenous direct medication administration certification. Blood and Blood Product Transfusion CLPNA module. Care of Central Venous Access Devices CLPNA module.
Preferred Qualifications:
Connect Care experience in ambulatory applications, scheduling, template building, referral management and documentation.
