About This Opportunity:
CPA Ontario is currently in search of a Corporate Partnerships Manager who will play a key role in growing corporate learning partnerships. Acting as a trusted advisor, they build strong relationships with senior business, finance, HR, and learning leaders to understand workforce development needs and connect organizations with CPA Ontario's diverse portfolio of learning solutions, including technical finance and accounting programs, leadership development, data and technology training, conferences, custom learning experiences, and digital learning resources.
By developing strategic partnerships across industries, the Corporate Partnerships Manager helps organizations strengthen workforce capabilities, achieve talent development objectives, and create long-term value through CPA Ontario's learning ecosystem.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Client Acquisition & Business Development
- Identify, engage, and secure new corporate clients across diverse sectors through strategic business development activities.
- Build and maintain relationships with senior leaders to uncover workforce development needs and generate opportunities.
- Lead consultative sales discussions and position CPA Ontario as a trusted partner in professional development and organizational learning.
- Manage a healthy sales pipeline and achieve assigned business development, revenue, and activity targets.
Revenue Growth & Opportunity Development
- Drive revenue growth by executing strategic account acquisition plans and advancing opportunities across target sectors.
- Lead the full sales cycle, converting prospects into long-term client partnerships and identifying opportunities for account expansion.
- Assess client business and workforce development needs to recommend tailored learning solutions for finance and non-finance professionals.
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver customized learning solutions and act as a trusted advisor to support client success.
Pipeline Management & Sales Operations
- Maintain accurate client and opportunity data while managing pipeline activity, forecasting, and sales performance metrics.
- Monitor and report on business development activity, pipeline health, and revenue projections.
- Leverage market insights and client feedback to inform growth strategies, partnership opportunities, and portfolio planning.
To Be Successful You Need:
- A post-secondary degree or diploma in Business, Commerce, Education, or a related discipline, along with 7 to 10 years of progressive experience in business development, sales, and account management, including at least 3 years of recent experience in a client-facing sales and account management role.
- A proven ability to build and manage a robust sales pipeline, lead complex sales opportunities, and convert prospects into long-term client partnerships.
- Exceptional relationship management skills, with the confidence and credibility to engage senior executives and key decision-makers, including CFOs, Vice Presidents, Directors, and other senior leaders across diverse organizations.
- A consultative approach to understanding client needs and recommending tailored solutions that support business objectives, workforce development, and organizational learning outcomes.
- Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional client experiences.
- Experience working with CPAs, finance professionals, or within an accounting, regulatory, or professional services environment is considered an asset.
- Experience within professional services, education, learning and development, workforce training, or related sectors is considered an asset.
This role requires frequent travel within Ontario - mostly in the greater Toronto area, access to a vehicle for business travel and a valid driver’s license.
Salary Range
- The starting annual salary range for this position is between $82,900 - $103,700 per annum, based on your qualifications, experience, and internal parity. Exceptions may be considered with further review.
