Location: Based at one of Canadian offices (Ottawa, ON; Toronto, ON; Montreal, QC)
Travel: Occasional domestic travel is possible for team meetings, client engagements, and professional development opportunities
Annual Salary: CAD $ 72,215

The opportunity
Launch your career in management consulting while making a meaningful impact.
This role is for someone who has a knack for discovering patterns, storytelling, and communicating findings. With us, you’ll work on challenging projects, turning ideas and data into clear, compelling visual solutions. As an entry level Consultant Cartographer, you’ll inform transportation planning studies and enable our clients to make better decisions, communicate findings in public reports, drive policy or program changes, and inform infrastructure investments.
You’ll join our Young Professionals Program (YPP), an immersive learning experience managed by our Growth and Operations (GO) team. This program offers hands-on exposure to different areas of our business, allowing you to contribute to local, national, and international projects while sharpening your consulting expertise.
Your responsibilities
Under the guidance of the Vice President, Growth and Operations (GO), you will:
- Support business development, including preparation of proposals
- Carry out sectoral analyses using quantitative data and qualitative reviews of the best Canadian and international practices
- Assist with project management and implementation
- Support adaptation of analyses into recommendations
- Engage in internal networking to build relationships and advance your development
- Develop eye-catching visualizations and concise written materials to communicate analysis results to non-technical people
- Gather, process, review, and analyze data from several sources and formats to assess analytical feasibility
- Execute spatial analytics using a variety of open-sourced and licensed GIS software, datasets, and proprietary assets
What you bring to the team
- Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, Cartography, or Urban Planning
- Experience in a data analysis and cartography from work or academics
- Skilled in the use of one or more of the following: ArcGIS Online webmapping and application (Dashboards, Storymaps), ESRI suite, QGIS, Mapbox, TransCAD, Illustrator
- Superior English writing and speaking skills
- Experience developing eye-catching graphics, such as maps, charts, and other data visualizations
- Enjoys compiling, analyzing, and disseminating location-based spatial intelligence to inform policy and infrastructure investments
- Avid interest in the role of transportation and the built environment in society
- Legal right to work in Canada (sponsorship is not provided for this role)
