Role Description The Epoxy Flooring Labourer role is a full-time, on-site position located at various projects in the GTA. This role involves assisting with preparation of concrete surfaces, including cleaning, grinding, and repairing cracks to ensure proper adhesion of epoxy coatings. The labourer mixes, applies, and spreads epoxy materials according to project specifications, and helps lay out, level, and finish floors using hand and power tools. Daily tasks include maintaining a clean and safe work area, loading and unloading materials, following safety procedures, and supporting lead installers with setup and tear-down at job sites. The role may require working flexible hours, standing for extended periods, and lifting moderate to heavy materials as part of the installation process.
Qualifications
- Current Working at Heights, WHMIS, and 4 Steps to Health and Safety certificates and a valid driver's licence are required.
- Practical experience or strong interest in construction, flooring, or related trades, with the ability to learn epoxy flooring techniques.
- Basic skills in using hand tools and power tools, and comfort working with concrete and coating materials.
- Ability to follow instructions, read basic measurements, and carry out tasks with attention to detail and quality.
- Physical ability to lift materials, work on knees or feet for extended periods, and perform manual labor in varying site conditions.
- Commitment to workplace safety, including proper use of personal protective equipment and adherence to company safety policies.
- Reliable transportation to job sites and availability for full-time, on-site work.
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
- Previous experience in epoxy flooring, concrete finishing, or general construction is an asset but not required; on-the-job training may be provided.
