Creative Abilities Therapy Services is growing, and we are looking for an Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team in Calgary and surrounding areas.
This is an Independent Contractor opportunity supporting children, youth, and families through individualized, family-centred services, including families receiving support through Family Support for Children with Disabilities (FSCD).

👧 Population: Pediatric and neurodiverse children and youth
Your Role
As an Occupational Therapist, you may:
- Complete occupational therapy assessments and develop individualized recommendations and intervention plans
- Support sensory processing, emotional regulation, fine motor skills, self-care, daily living skills, motor planning, and functional participation
- Provide direct therapy, consultation, caregiver education, and home or community-based strategies
- Collaborate with families, Speech-Language Pathologists, Physiotherapists, Psychologists, Behavioural Consultants, Behavioural & Developmental Aides, and other team members
- Contribute to Individualized Service Plans (ISPs) and multidisciplinary service planning for FSCD Specialized Services when applicable
- Monitor progress and adjust strategies based on the child and family’s goals
- Complete clinical notes, reports, progress summaries, and other required documentation
- Participate in team meetings and collaborate with families and other professionals
Requirements
✅ Registered with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT)
✅ Current and valid ACOT Practice Permit
✅ Professional liability insurance
✅ Current Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Search
✅ Ability to maintain professional documentation and confidentiality requirements
✅ Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
✅ Ability to work independently while contributing to a multidisciplinary team
Assets
- Experience supporting neurodiverse children and youth
- Experience with FSCD-funded services, including Specialized Services or Behavioural and Developmental Supports
- Experience working within multidisciplinary teams
- Experience with sensory processing, regulation, feeding, fine motor, self-care, or functional participation goals
