Material Resources Technician
Department: Eeyou Eenou Police Force (EEPF)
Report to: Material Resources Administrator

Core Functions:
The Material Resources Technician is responsible for providing assistance in establishing and monitoring the procurement needs of material resources for the Eeyou Eenou Police Force.
Functional Responsibilities:
- Review material, equipment and supplies orders to assure appropriate inventory levels are maintained and replenished.
- Maintain and update the inventory database.
- Act as the first point of contact for personnel of the EEPF for procurement needs in all detachments.
- Provide the uniform and equipment to all new Officers.
- Determine if inventory quantities are sufficient for needs and order more materials when necessary.
- Check deliveries when they arrive to ensure that orders have been filled correctly and that goods meet specifications.
- Maintain purchase order files, all receipts, purchasing logs and monthly invoices.
- Identify and recommend vendors of materials, equipment and supplies.
- Assist in evaluating service, material, equipment and supplies requirements, and alternative vendors.

- Maintain up-to-date knowledge and skills in area(s) of responsibility.
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications:
Education
- College diploma in Business Administration, Supply Management or related field.
Experience
- One to three years of relevant work experience.
Language:
- Fluency in verbal Cree.
- Fluency in English.
- Fluency in French is an asset.
Knowledge and Abilities:
- Customer-focused and service-oriented.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proven organizational skills and ability to coordinate multiple projects.
- Good judgment and proven ability to problem-solve.
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and to adapt to a changing environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to lift at least 20 pounds.
- Willingness to travel occasionally.
- Must agree to undergo a background check.
The Cree Nation Government may, at its discretion, waive any or all of the aforementioned requirements if a suitable candidate who is a JBNQA beneficiary accepts to follow a training plan determined by the Cree Nation Government as a condition of employment.
