Role Description The Associate Recruiter is a full-time, on-site role based in Vancouver, BC. This position supports end-to-end recruitment activities, including sourcing candidates, screening resumes, scheduling and coordinating interviews, and maintaining accurate candidate records. The Associate Recruiter will collaborate closely with consultants and leadership to understand hiring needs, draft and post job descriptions, and ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process. The role also involves managing communication with applicants, assisting with reference checks and onboarding logistics, and contributing to the continuous improvement of recruitment processes and employer branding.
Qualifications
- Experience in recruitment or talent acquisition, including candidate sourcing, resume screening, and interview coordination.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with candidates, hiring managers, and external partners.
- Organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and proficiency in maintaining accurate records and using applicant tracking systems.
- Understanding of basic HR practices and employment standards, with interest in recruitment best practices and talent market trends.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a coaching-oriented environment, demonstrating professionalism, discretion, and a commitment to equitable, inclusive hiring.
- Proficiency in standard office software and online collaboration tools; experience with recruitment platforms is an asset.
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a related field, or equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Prior experience in professional services, consulting, or coaching environments is an advantage.
