We’re growing our Vancouver Island team and looking for a Junior Project Manager who wants to grow with us.
CTC Construction Systems is looking for someone local to Vancouver Island who’s ready to take on new challenges, contribute ideas, and build a rewarding career in construction. This role will support projects from Victoria to Parksville.
With opportunities across industrial, commercial, multifamily, and pre-engineered steel building projects, you’ll gain exposure to different construction methods and the full project lifecycle. You’ll work alongside experienced people, build relationships with clients and trade partners, and take on greater responsibility as your skills and confidence grow.
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Organized, proactive, and eager to learn.
- A strong communicator who enjoys working with people.
- Accountable and proud of the work they do.
- Ready to contribute to a team and grow into a larger project management role.
At CTC, we value lasting relationships and a team that looks out for one another. We’re building the kind of workplace where you know your teammates, your ideas matter, and everyone has a part in our success.
As our Vancouver Island division grows, we want our people to grow with it - with meaningful opportunities to develop their skills, take ownership, and progress into project management and future leadership roles.
Qualifications and experience:
- A few years of experience in a Junior Project Manager, Project Coordinator, or similar construction role.
- Hands-on field experience and a practical understanding of construction methods and site operations.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and scope documents.
- Experience developing and updating project schedules, coordinating trades, and tracking progress.
- Familiarity with preparing budgets, tracking costs, and supporting project forecasting.
- Working knowledge of contracts, subcontracts, change orders, and progress billing.
- Experience coordinating RFIs, submittals, procurement, and project documentation.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with scheduling and construction management software.
- Construction-related education or a trade background would be an asset.
- Based on Vancouver Island, with a valid driver’s licence and the ability to travel to project sites between Victoria and Parksville.
You don’t need to have mastered every part of the role, we value practical experience, initiative, and a willingness to learn and grow with the team.
