Role Description The Field Staff role is a seasonal/contract based, on-site position with the office based in Winnipeg, MB. In this role, individuals support drilling operations by assisting with equipment setup, monitoring drilling activities, and following safety procedures in the field. Day-to-day responsibilities include collecting and organizing samples, maintaining tools and machinery, documenting operational data, and reporting issues or irregularities to supervisors. Field Staff also interact with clients and team members on-site to ensure that work meets project specifications, timelines, and quality standards. The position involves working in varying weather conditions, traveling to remote sites as needed, and adhering to company and regulatory guidelines.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills for interpreting field data, assessing conditions, and supporting problem-solving in drilling operations.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to coordinate with team members, supervisors, and clients, and to document activities clearly and accurately.
- Candidates should possess Troubleshooting abilities to identify equipment or process issues in the field and assist in implementing practical solutions.
- Candidates should possess Customer Service and Training skills to support client interactions on-site and help guide newer team members on procedures and safety practices.
- Ability to work safely in physically demanding conditions, including lifting, operating equipment, and working in remote or outdoor environments.
- Attention to detail and reliability in following safety protocols, recording measurements, and handling samples.
- Experience in drilling, mining, construction, or related field-based work is an asset.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project locations as required.
