We’re looking for a Fire Alarm Technician Trainee to join our Halifax team.

What You’ll Do
Working alongside experienced technicians, you’ll support the inspection, testing, and servicing of fire protection systems and equipment. Responsibilities include:
- Providing on-site assistance to certified technicians.
- Assisting with identifying general deficiencies and issues.
- Completing daily reports, work orders, and activities accurately and on time.
- Monitoring parts inventory and equipment maintenance requirements.
- Providing daily feedback to the Service Co-Ordinator on assigned service orders, inspections, outcomes, and additional service work required.
- Following all safe work practices and demonstrating safety leadership.

- Ability to safely complete high-quality work on time.
- Strong self-motivation and attention to detail.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
- Ability to learn and operate various power tools and machinery.
- Knowledge of current NFPA fire codes preferred.
- Knowledge of electronic systems preferred.
Education & Experience
- All combinations of education and related experience will be considered.
- College/trade-level education in Electronics or Fire Protection Technology, along with applicable fire service certifications, preferred.
- Valid driver’s license required.
