Title: End User AI Tooling Developer
Contract Duration: ASAP to December 24, 2027
Overview
This is a technical role on the AI team supporting our enterprise assistant platforms. The focus is on what connects those platforms to the organization's data and work: custom connectors to internal systems, a vetted library of Skills and prompt assets, the framework that governs how internal data is exposed, and hands-on support for the business users who depend on all of it.
Core responsibilities
- Build and maintain custom MCP connectors that give approved assistants access to internal systems, choosing between organization-scoped remote connectors and locally run desktop extensions based on data sensitivity
- Implement authentication and authorization correctly: OAuth, per-user entitlements rather than shared service accounts, narrowly scoped tools, and read-only access by default
- Instrument connectors with logging and monitoring, and own their documentation, support, and iteration as source systems change
- Write, test, and maintain a vetted library of Skills that encode organization-specific procedures, templates, and domain knowledge (for example investment memo formats, model conventions, policy checklists)
- Own the Skills repository and lifecycle: version control, quality bar, review process, named ownership, deprecation, and controlled distribution to the right user groups
- Build evaluation and regression testing so Skills and connectors keep working as underlying models change
- Establish the reference architecture, security baseline, and approval path for exposing internal data through MCP, in partnership with Information Security, Data Governance, Privacy, and Legal
- Serve as the organization's hands-on expert in Claude (Desktop, Projects, Skills, connectors) and Enterprise ChatGPT (connectors, agent features), tracking releases and translating them into guidance on what to adopt and what to avoid
- Run office hours and working sessions for users across the investment and corporate divisions, helping them turn workflow problems into something buildable
- Partner with the AI adoption and training function, supplying the technical content, demos, and guardrails their curricula and superuser network depend on
- Other duties as required
Qualifications
- More than 5 years of experience in a hands-on programming role, with strong Python and comfort in Git-based workflows and API integration work
- Direct experience building against LLM platforms, including tool use, agentic patterns, retrieval, and evaluation. MCP experience is a strong differentiator, though the protocol is new enough that adjacent integration experience can substitute
- Working fluency in enterprise security and identity concepts: OAuth, SSO, scoping and entitlements, data classification, audit logging
- Strong technical writing. A large part of this role is producing instructions that a model and a person both follow correctly
- Ability to work directly with investment and corporate professionals, and translate a workflow complaint into a buildable asset
- Financial services or other regulated-industry experience is an asset.
