Retail Associate (Part-Time)
Location: South Granville, Vancouver, BC
Schedule: 20 hours per week
Pay: $19-$20/hr

Daydream Factory is a retail platform helping independent Canadian brands get discovered, reach new customers and grow. Our South Granville store brings together jewellery, gifts, home goods, accessories and creative finds, giving small businesses a space to connect with customers through physical retail.
Role Description
We’re looking for a reliable, creative and proactive Retail Associate to join our team. You’ll help customers, create social media content, communicate with our vendor partners and keep the store looking its best.
Content creation, vendor communication and store upkeep are everyday parts of this role. You should be comfortable taking initiative and working independently, with customer service taking priority throughout your shift.
Your responsibilities include:
- Greet customers, introduce products and process purchases accurately.
- Create photos, short videos, Reels and posts for our social media. Content creation is expected during every shift.
- Respond to day-to-day vendor inquiries by email, provide support and follow up as needed.
- Assist with vendor move-ins, including product setup, shelf arrangements and explaining store procedures.
- Maintain attractive product displays, restock shelves and keep merchandise organised and well presented.
- Help refresh window displays monthly and update seasonal decorations.
- Keep the store clean, tidy and welcoming through regular housekeeping.
- Help train and onboard new team members on store procedures, customer service, POS systems and daily responsibilities.
- Complete opening or closing duties, depending on your shift.
Qualifications
- Friendly and confident when helping customers.
- Comfortable taking product photos and creating short social media videos.
- Familiar with Instagram; experience with Canva or video-editing apps is an asset.
- Able to write clear, professional and friendly emails.
- Reliable, punctual and attentive to detail.
- Able to work independently, manage priorities and take initiative.
- Interested in independent brands, creative products and visual merchandising.
- Available to work 20 hours per week in four-hour shifts.
- Current students and recent graduates are welcome to apply.
- Previous retail or customer service experience is an asset.
